Eating local
Find local food resources in Australia.
The further your food comes from, the more greenhouse gas emissions will have been created transporting it to your dining table. That is especially true of items that have been imported or transported by plane - the most environmentally damaging form of transport.
For this reason, the more locally your food is grown, the better for the environment. Indeed, it is debatable whether, say, organic beans flown in from Kenya are more environmentally friendly than non-organic beans grown a few kilometres from your home.
