Climate change update
Australia's net greenhouse gas emissions (excluding land use and forestry) rose by 16% from 1998 to 2008, from 473m tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent gases to 549.5m tonnes - Australian Bureau of Statistics, Sept 2010. See our Climate Change section for Australian climate change links.
Fresh vegetables? A UK study says "fresh" vegetables lose up to 45% of their nutrients before we buy them, with many items in supermarkets up to 16 days old. For real fresh food, grow your own or buy direct from local farmers. See our Garden, Eating Local and Community Supported Agriculture sections.
Green blogs
Read our EcoBlog for a fresh slant on green news, or see our Australian green blogs section for more Australian green blogs. Follow us on Twitter.
Looking for non-Australian information?
If you want to find international green resources, we suggest Green Pages (global), Green Directory (UK) or EcoBusiness Links (US). Or see our Overseas Sites category on the left for more non-Australian sites.
